For many brands who have committed to long-term roadmaps towards sustainable packaging, 2025 is the first checkpoint. Brands have committed to X% reusable or recyclable, Y% reduction in virgin plastic use and Z% recycled content. These targets and commitments suggest that brands are taking their packaging footprint seriously, but 2025 is only around the corner. This opening session will assess how business is performing against these ambitious targets, assessing current barriers, business opportunities and what’s still standing in the way of brand targets on packaging being met.
