Financial Perspective: How is the financial sector responding to modern slavery risks?

13:00 - 14:00
Investors are increasingly recognising modern slavery risks within their investment decisions. Global investors with US$2.13 trillion assets under management recently supported the new Australian Modern Slavery Act.

We will ask some leading investment firms to discuss:

·      The role of investors in combating modern slavery in 2019. How are their approaches evolving?
·      Where is modern slavery on the investor priority list?
·      What does their engagement look like, and what happens if they are ignored?
·      The type of commitments from boards that investors expect and want to see
