McKinsey has stated that the resale market could outgrow the fast fashion market by 2030. This is a tall order for pilot programs with little to no data on viability to scale and profitability. And while resale models sound like a no-brainer in the interest of extending product life, there is still little known about the sustainability impact of such alternatives.
In this session, we’ll take a closer look at these models and discuss:
Do resale models actually reduce environmental impact? How can brands asses the true sustainability impact of resale programs?
Is it likely we will ever see brands move to reduce their production as a result of resale schemes?
How do brands guarantee quality and longevity of products on the resale market?
